Télé-Québec launches its new digital platform, developed in collaboration with Mirego
April 2 — 2026
After years of relying on a white-label solution that limited its autonomy and digital growth, Télé-Québec is reaching a major turning point with the launch of the all-new version of its digital platform, telequebec.tv. Developed in collaboration with Mirego, this complete redesign gives the broadcaster greater control and improved flexibility over how its content is distributed and discovered by users.
Through this redesign, Télé-Québec aims to deliver an experience that meets its quality standards and users' expectations for a modern video content platform—particularly for younger audiences—while reducing the manual content management workload for its internal teams.
"It was a real pleasure to collaborate with the Mirego team. Throughout the project, we could truly see their knowledge and genuine interest in our industry. We felt confident undertaking the redesign of such an important channel for us, hand in hand."

A new home for all content
The new telequebec.tv platform now brings together the broadcaster's entire content ecosystem under one roof. Gone is the fragmentation across multiple separate destinations: content from shows, documentaries, films, La Fabrique culturelle, and the Kids section are now all accessible through a single, unified, and cohesive experience.
For internal teams, the benefits are equally significant. The new CMS dramatically reduces the manual work involved in content management, freeing teams to focus on what truly matters: putting the spotlight on the rich and diverse content, from here and abroad, that has built Télé-Québec's reputation.
An experience designed for all audiences
The interface draws inspiration from the conventions of major streaming platforms—familiar to all users—while fully reflecting Télé-Québec's visual identity. And unlike many of its competitors, all content is accessible without requiring account creation, removing any barrier to entry and encouraging discovery.
"Télé‑Québec is part of our collective culture; we all grew up with its shows. Being able to contribute to the transformation of this institution and help it deliver a digital experience worthy of its educational and cultural mission is a tremendous source of pride for the entire Mirego team."

Built with Remix (React) for the front end and Elixir for the back end, the platform was designed with particular attention to accessibility and performance. It also lays the technical groundwork for future phases of evolution, particularly around the experience for the kids audience.
