The Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal launches its new Mobicité app developed by Mirego

Following a RFP process, the Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal awarded Mirego the contract to develop its new parking payment app Mobicité — a 100% Quebec-made solution. This custom application replaces the legacy system and unifies the parking experience across all platforms, offering Montrealers a modern, accessible, and entirely local solution.
The mandate encompassed a complete overhaul of the digital parking payment service, with the objective of regaining technological control and delivering a scalable solution. The Agency sought to eliminate its reliance on an external American vendor while ensuring a seamless transition for users familiar with the previous application.

The new Mobicité application now offers:
- A redesigned interface
- An interactive map to visualize available parking spaces
- Detailed parking regulations for each space
- Simultaneous management of multiple vehicles and parking sessions
- Enhanced accessibility features
- Smart notifications to avoid fines

The project encompassed much more than a simple application: Mirego delivered, in collaboration with the Agence de mobilité durable, the complete microservices architecture, the development of a management console with its own authentication system, the integration of payment, pricing and parking space management systems, as well as ongoing service operations.
